Casanova's Agony

Temptation weighs heavy upon me,
Given the desire to explore the Pandora box,
Time moved back,
And I landed in the era of Casanova.

Casanova... The puzzled mystery,
The name came across as phenomenon,
Notorious seducer, libidinous brute,
Playboy philanderer,
Exploiter of hundreds of women!

Fortunately, sometimes, the truth,
Hidden under layers of scratchy wool,
From the dangerous suspicions, lies,
The stories of others, cold and alone.

Sofia, a so called victim, I met along,
She narrated me a different song,
He, the Casanova,
A proto feminist,
Awestricken to strong minded women,
Savoured romantic challenges,
Cherished the intellectuals,
Sex was never on his mind
Viewed the Venuses as equal,
Women themselves were to blame,
Loved to hate him,
And could not help loving him.

Beckoned the thunderous death bell,
As he fell in love with charpillion,
Who preyed on his generosity,
kindness.and.vulnerability,
Tormented...and exploited,
He looked into the eyes of love,
And saw the prisoner that he was...
And he lay in wait for wanting,
His sacred heart is haunting,
The rant and rave of his being,
Victim or exploiter goes on..
And the time consumes itself
Into the reality of man...
